Frequently Asked Questions

What is Women Who Rally – A Global Leadership Program?

Women Who Rally is a values-led leadership development and connection program created for experienced women coaches across tennis and pickleball within the global PTR and PPR community.

It offers a dedicated learning, reflection, and connection space where women can deepen their leadership capability, strengthen their sense of belonging, and continue to grow personally and professionally — alongside other experienced coaches from around the world.

Women Who Rally is not a technical coaching course. It is a leadership journey, grounded in who women are as leaders, how they show up in their environments, and how they influence others through their values and behaviors.

Why have the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) and the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) created this program?

PTR and PPR created Women Who Rally as a strategic investment in women’s leadership across the global rackets ecosystem.

The program reflects PTR’s organizational values and its commitment to:

    • Community, connection, and belonging
    • Empowerment, growth, and excellence in learning
    • Inclusive, modern leadership across racket sports

Women Who Rally translate these values into visible leadership behaviors, ensuring strong alignment between how PTR and PPR show up as organizations and how women leaders are supported to show up in their coaching, communities, and professional contexts.

Who is the program for?

Women Who Rally is designed for:

    • Experienced women coaches working in tennis and pickleball
    • Coaches who are established in their context (not beginner coaches)
    • Women coaching across a range of domains, including children, juniors, adults, and performance environments
    • Women who influence others through their coaching, relationships, and presence — whether or not they hold a formal leadership title

Importantly, participants do not need to hold a formal leadership position. Leadership within Women Who Rally is understood as practice, influence, and behavior — not role or title.

What is the program designed to do?

Women Who Rally is designed to support women coaches to:

  • Deepen their leadership confidence, clarity, and presence
  • Strengthen their ability to lead through values-aligned behaviors
  • Build meaningful connections with a global community of women coaches
  • Reflect on their leadership practice and make intentional choices about how they lead
  • Support both personal growth and professional development

Participants are encouraged to locate themselves within a shared leadership framework and to use this as a reference point for ongoing growth and reflection.

A cornerstone of Women Who Rally is supporting each participant to clarify what matters most at this stage of their leadership journey. Rather than a one-size-fits-all curriculum, the program is shaped around shared themes and participant needs, allowing women to focus their learning and development in ways that are meaningful, relevant, and grounded in their own coaching context.

How will Women Who Rally be delivered?

The program is delivered through a blended learning model, designed to balance flexibility with meaningful human connection.

This includes:

    • Online learning experiences and guided reflection
    • Live virtual sessions and facilitated group conversations
    • Mentoring and peer connection opportunities
    • Access to a dedicated learning and community space
    • An in-person experience (where possible) to deepen connection and shared purpose

Learning experiences are guided by a shared leadership framework and the evolving needs of the cohort, ensuring relevance across diverse coaching contexts and regions.

What level of commitment is expected from participants?

Participation in this program requires both a personal learning commitment and a practical attendance commitment.

1. Your Personal Commitment to Learning

This is a fully funded leadership development experience, and with that comes an expectation of active engagement. Participants are expected to:

  • Attend nine live online sessions (2 hours each)
  • Participate in one individual mentoring session
  • Engage actively in the global community of practice
  • Contribute to and complete small group collaborative tasks
  • Commit to reflection, preparation, and ongoing application of learning in your professional context

This program is designed as a connected journey. Your presence, voice, and contribution matter — not only for your own growth, but for the collective learning of the group.

2. In-Person Workshop Commitment

While PTO and PPR are fully funding your participation in the leadership development program, participants will be responsible for:

  • Flights
  • Accommodation
  • Associated travel expenses

for attendance at a two-day in-person workshop, most likely to be held in the USA. Dates and location will be confirmed in advance to allow adequate planning.

The in-person experience is a vital part of the program — designed to deepen relationships, strengthen connections across racquet sports, and accelerate your leadership growth in an immersive environment.
